Shiny Disc Sunday and a bit of a rare one from Mike B from a file he sent where he does not know the origin.
All the 80’s Party tunes given a late 80’s revisit. Ben Liebrand, S.A.W. John Luongo – great on the Jackson’s track with that different bass. So mostly reliant on the use of drum machines and a synth bass.
A few less well known Bangers are given that slicker , late 80’s remix. Gary’s Gang, Class Action – getting an early Todd Terry remix.
The Chic is the original 1984 mix – as is the Sister Sledge track but I’m not sure it sounds that good!!
Favourite track is the Liebrand enhanced Fun Fun with Spagna on vocals.

I’ll take the Spinner’s and Fun Fun, thanks Mike !
Origin might possibly be a bargain bin? Maybe with a red “clearance’ sticker? 😁
Just kidding. Hadn’t heard that Jeff Wayne remix before. Still prefer the Liebrand remix from ’89.
fanx for fab flac
Here’s CD vol.2 (! & 2 were originally a 2-LP), an absolut bargain….

The dance classics series is rather popular in the Benelux. Those CD’s were in almost every store here and I’ve bought lots of them back in the days. I still have most of them, so let me know if you want them. You can find the complete list here: https://www.discogs.com/label/411508-Dance-Classics-9?page=1
