Obscure Monday
From 1982 and produced by Radio 1’s Barry Andrews and engineered by Simon Sullivan (Ultravox). New Wave dance with some great drums. Sinister (a bit like the cover) with unexpected Jazz horn breaks.
The B-side has more sax and an interesting synth chimed riff. Aimed at the more discerning Dance Floor, a bit of Tribal chants. Percussion and drums from Gee Bello (Light of The World)
Both tracks were from the album, “Mixing With Wildlife”
Alan Jarry: Lead Vocals
Paul Robertson: Guitars
Terry Stephens: Sax & Flute
Dennis Smith (Secret Affair, Nik Kershaw): Bass
Interesting, need more from these !
