Duncan Sheik – Covers 80s (CD)

Duncan Sheik Uncovers Hope For The '80s : The Record : NPR

From June 2011 and from New Jersey singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist, Duncan Sheik.

Interpreting a dozen 80’s track in a mostly semi-acoustic style and quite organic but very faithful to the originals. Rachael Yamagata and
Holly Brook helping out on the vocals.

Perfect Sunday afternoon / evening listening.

Highlights being “Love Vigilantes”(New Order) and the haunting “Kyoto Song” (The Cure)

So the covers are not to obvious, “Stay” being from The Blue Nile.

  1. Shame the DL# for both of these is so low, I blind bought the remix version on Amazon years ago and it is excellent.
