Curve ‎– Chinese Burn (US Promo 12″)

Not really anorak day but it needed posting.

From 1997 and slightly Big Beat / Prodigy style as was the trend at the time. Toni Halliday and Dean Garcia layer the beats and distort the guitar on this track from the “Come Clean” album. Steve Osborne takes away a bit of the grunge adding some flat bass.

Lunatic Calm ( Simon ‘sHack’ Shackleton and Howard ‘Howie’ Saunders. God, I remember them and have their album) pile on the breakbeats. Paul Van Dyke completes a long mix, Trance with an underlying breakbeat.

  1. I’ve got quite a bit of Curve but not this one. I suppose I have much of the first half of their career. [checks] Yep. My collection ends at the two “Coming Up Roses” singles.
