The Railway Children ‎– Music Stop (12″)

From 1990 and sounding like it was done in the late ’80’s, The Railway Children from Wigan in the North of England. Off their third album, “Native Place” it blends synths with guitars and also a “Manc” Indie sound.

Steve Proctor makes sure the synths are pushed up into the mix with some familiar “club samples”. The second track – labelled as an instrumental when is in fact a different vocal mix is almost “Hysteria” sounding Human League.

More here, some early stuff from 1988
