A debut on here from Mr. Billy Joel and a bit of a “Best Of…” mini compilation as it includes 3 previous 80’s hits; for 1989 a bit of a vinyl bargain.
A song about manic depression or an apology to his “Uptown Girl” wife, Christie Brinkley, anyway it was off the album “Storm Front” and a full on AOR rocker!!!
The A-side also includes “We Didn’t Start The Fire” produced by Joel and Mick Jones. R.E.M. always springs to mind when I hear the listed lyrics.
The B-side includes an extended version of “Tell Her About It” (by the duo of John “Jellybean” Benitez and John “Tokes” Potoker) and the normal version of the Smash Hit “Uptown Girl” – all massive tunes from ’83 and produced by Phil Ramone.
