“He was more of a benefactor than a friend in a way most people think of friendship. He went a bit out of his way to bestow some good karma on me.”
A small tribute today on the first anniversary of Bowie’s death via another icon.
Off his overlooked album from 1986, “Blah,Blah,Blah,” it is probably the most commercial release by Iggy and he disowned it saying it “a Bowie album in all but name”;on the song his low croon suits it really well and suitably co-written, produced and mixed with Bowie and David Richards (Queen, Duran Duran)
Bonus tracks are a couple of longer mixes of a previous single , “Cry For Love” – much more rocky with some mad synth strings (almost Goth Rock) and co-written by Steve Jones, who also contributes guitar (check out that solo!!). Going back to, or updating, the Stooges sound if they were into the Sisters Of Mercy!!
It closes with “Baby It Can Fall” which does sound very much like Bowie, bright synths and big drums, especially on this remix.

Many thanks
Love the title track, you can hear Bowie everywhere, even in Iggy’s voice.
“Blah,Blah,Blah,” is still my favorite IGGY POP album!!! Do you have the extended version of REAL WILD CHILD too?
Have a look. I think it’s on here somewhere.
I searched for it on your blog already. You make reference to it on the FIRE GIRL page (please also fix this link, if you can), stating that you had it on your old blog … any chance of upping it here?
This is being a bit elusive bear with me!
thank you in advance!!!
Any chance of a re-up yet again???? Thanks in advance!! Woof!
Thanks a lot! Love my shiny new rubber Iggy toy!
could you please re-up this too? thanks!
