Depeche Mode vs Erasure

A shorter mix this week from regular contributor Alan Soze. Something he did a while ago that ended in a Mike B folder Just a quarter of an hour with both bands having tracks alternated. All the Bangers are here.

Starting with “Drama!” from Erasure (an underplayed, appreciated track by them) It drops dramatically into “Love Will Leave” by Dave Gahan (the Das Shadow’s Rewerk) and then into “Chorus” (Pure Trance Mix) – love this eclectic order !

“Strangelove” (highjack mix) is next with the Front 242 samples and that American kids voice. “Always” (Cappella Club Remix) keeps it pounding. “World In My Eyes (Dub In My Eyes)” is included a great official mix that I’d forgotten about, going into more mixes. Kraftwerk and Snap!

Batted back to Erasure with “Who Needs Love (Like That)” and another official mix. Never knew Timo Mass did a remix of “Enjoy The Silence” but here it is a good one too! “A Little Respect” is followed by another official mix of DM’s “Policy Of Truth”

Curveball next with a mix of “Rapture” by Erasure , then into “Everything Counts” – 101 Live version (?) for the closing track.

  1. I remember someone at the time trying to convince me that The Innocents was a better album than Music For The Masses. I wasn’t having it! 😀

Have to agree though, my favourite Erasure track has always been Drama!.
