Intaferon ‎– Getoutoflondon (12″)

Simply bought because it was a Martin Rushent Production this obscure, New Wave band comprised of two Simon’s, Simon Gilham and Simon Fellowes ( now a well established author) Their debut release with lyrics written in “Kerouac-style” is a great little song in it’s radio form and could be written today. It got some exposure on the Max Headroom show and the “Winning London” soundtrack (2001). The 12″ sounds like they were having a blast in the studio, some primitive samples, train/plane noises and plenty of guitar. (there is even a vocoder part in there)

  1. Nice! Heard this, this morning (On 1st Wave) as a matter of fact! Like to know how this mix is of this track (Wondered if there was a mix for this 1). Thanks a bunch!!

  2. This “everything-plus-the-kitchen-sink” remix is fantastic. Wish that the singles had produced a full album – all three were great stuff, IMO.
I was a fan of Simon F’s solo career too, even if he was aping Billy Idol a bit too hard at the time.
    Cheers!
