Amazingly from 1982 and this bit of Electro Funk from David Frank & Mic Murphy.
It’s all built around that infectious bassline and those soulful vocals. A Groundbreaker on this especially long version.
“Now I Am Electric” is fast and furious and uses more solid bass and more quirky synths and a vocoder.

Thank you for your eternal quest to deep dive into obscure / lost 12″ mixes. Love it!
I enjoyed listening to this one today. Nice capture, thank you.
Burnt from his own vinyl copy, I may add. Like a majority of stuff on this blog.
I have long loved the Palmer cover of this on “Pride,” where he got David Frank to play synths on it. I’ve been dying to hear the original since 1983 but have never run across a copy! I do have the UK Palmer 12” and it’s the same mix. Something I keep on me at all times for a listen.
I still have a bunch of their records, and have had a bunch of their 12″ as well – many really great but I don’t think they ever managed to improve beyond this one!
