Ah, a return to the 80’s and some breezy New Wave from Liverpool’s Cook Da Books.
A forgotten classic by a forgotten band. A bit Spandau in places it was produced by LA’s Gary Olazabal. A bass and keyboard breakdown really make it a classic 80’s 12″,
“Say Something Good” has a light reggae feel with marimba sounds, a bit like Orange Juice (I keep making that comparison), catchy and light and a quality B-side.
“In The Papers” is a funky instrumental with a sprinkle of synths and Disco handclaps.
