To commemorate Comic Relief today here is an offering from George Michael who covered this New Order track back in March 2011.
The arrangement is smooth, the backing lending itself to a Chill Out room, lush synth and samples.
But…then we get the auto-tuned vocals. Why ? His voice has always been excellent. Why so much ? It just ruins it and you end up laughing…. Comic Relief. His loyal fans maintain it was a vocoder. Unfortunately there is an expletive so most copies had a Parent Advisory sticker – probably a first for a charity.
The Instrumental is favourable with the guitars washing over the vibe.
