From his second album, “Safety In Numbers” and released in 1987 is this slab of high-brow electronica. Soundtracks for imaginary films, composed not written from found sounds.
“Galaxy” features a heavy bass riff and plenty of bangs and crashes.
“Clear” features Ryuichi Sakamoto . Here is the full personnel list, Guitar – Larry Saltzman, Harp – Sara Cutler, Synthesizer [DX7 & TX7, Voyetra Eight, Memory Moog, Emulator II – David Lebolt and Synthesizer [DX7, Emulator II, Fairlight CMI IIx] – Ryuichi Sakamoto. As you’d expect it has his signature all over it, liking the funk guitar.
On “All Safe” we get a voice, that of Rebecca Armstrong (a collaborator with Steve Reich) Orchestra and jittering drums, reminds me of old Goldfrapp. Super track!
