More collaborations but great ones!
From 1994 and the teaming up of Cherry and Gabriel buddy, N’Dour.
Produced by Cherry collaborator Booga Bear (Massive Attack), Swedish multi-instrumentalist and producer Christian Valk (RIP) and Jonny Dollar. (hip hop producer and Massive Attack)
Similar to the last post it goes for lush orchestration and lazy beats. The song is trilingual as N’Dour sings in 3 languages: French, English and the West African language Wolof. The title and refrain of the song refers to the first moments of a child’s life; as Cherry put it, “not knowing about the problems and violence in our world”
The third mix has some extra scratches and extends this classic nicely with the violin solo.
The Dub mix could be Massive Attack. Vocals kept in and extra scratches and overdubs but less strings. I like the space bleeps and the violin solo.
A bonus is the N’Dour’s deep, hypnotic groove “Life (Adouna)”, synth heavy and atmospheric.
WAV file so a big one!

Great that Falk (not Valk) get the recognition he deserve for this track since he actually did very much of it.
