Duran Duran ‎– Notorious (US 12″)

Not the Latin Rascals mix. (Still missing, it’s in my 12″ collection somewhere!)

The ’86 comeback 12″ from the honed down Duran Duran. The main mix being done by Daniel Abraham. Slightly rockier and bounces around, “Monkeying with my business!) Playing this after Nine Inch Nails “Pretty Hate Machine” was Trent a secret Duranny ?

No horns on the bonus track (and from the album) an atmospheric, Torch song ” Winter Marches On” – great vocals.

Post Punk included the album in his humorous homage to 80’s horn sections, over here;

  1. A pretty mild ext. version on the regular 12” but the Latin Rascals remix was much further out. Some of my regular commenters sit “Notorious” out, but I find it to be the most cohesive DD album and a go-to. I find it a well balanced album and practically a shadow Bond soundtrack.

      1. Yep, you posted it on November 13, 2014 😀 And it was gone gone gone before I could get it…

  2. Oh I didn’t see that your present blog went that far back…. I have even older missed posts of yours, from 2009. At that time you even appologised for posting your gulty pleasures 😀 Not ashamed anymore I hope 😉 🙂
