About time this got posted!
From 1991 and the time KLF went HUGE. Then they burnt a million quid and disappeared.
Lushly produced and mixed by Mike “Spike” Stent if you listen it doesn’t really do much after maintaining the initial attention. There is some actual clarinet in there by Duy Khiem, keyboards by Nick Coler (who did a lot on the KLF releases) Great vocals by Maxine Harvey and P.P. Arnold.
“The Guns” mixed by Julian Gordon-Hastings is given a Dub flavour, you hear the clarinet much better. A good alternative to the main song.
The Moody Boys then take over the last 2 mixes, with the Mad Professor involved.
Even better is the totally stripped down vocals using an ethnic chant as it main theme, a Deep House track.
Dub is the theme of the final mix with fierce bass by Errol Nicholson (Black Steel) and additional keys by Martin Lascelles.
