Smooth and sun-drenched. From the ’87 album “Miracle” this see’s the Scottish group conquering America and hone they’re song craft. (with a Tears For Fears inspired video)
It’s has the breezy quality of Steely Dan and it’s not about Detroit but the Nissan car plant in Sunderland (their hometown) ! The Cruising Version extends it subtly with a longer intro.
The B-side is a hidden gem, electro funk (almost P-Funk) which they obviously had fun recording with some fake American drawl on the vocals.
