Ralph Tresvant Featuring Bobby Brown ‎– Stone Cold Gentleman (US 12″)

Keeping with the Street Sound theme and Wednesday’s being from the 90’s.

Tresvant was a singer/ song writer/ producer from Roxbury, Massachusetts. He was best known as the lead singer of R&B group New Edition. after witnessing the huge success of Bobby Brown’s solo albums and of other New Edition members he thought he’d go it alone.

A good example of Swingbeat remixed by  Denzil Foster & Thomas McElroy. A bit of funk and plenty of soulful vocals. With Bobby Brown providing the backing rap it does sound like one of his records. Not much different in terms of sound to the mixes. The main Club mix adds a little bit of vocoder. It was the second single from his eponymous debut album.
