Silly Sunday Song 28 – Harry Enfield ‎– Loadsamoney (Doin’ Up The House) (12″)

Posted this and forgot to add some blurb.

Er, not much can be said. It’s about dodgy workmen making lots of money by botching jobs. Cash in hand mate!

From 1988 and recorded at Guerilla studio by the one and only William Orbit in May ’88. It features chums, Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson and samples of songs with the word money in them.

The B-side is just a mess about in the studio with Paul Whitehouse, talking inane bollocks.

  1. Saw this and said out loud ‘Bosh bosh zoom zoom wallop dosh’ (that’s how i remember it) excitedly pressed to download and it’s gone! Damn was looking forward to hearing it again. Please re-up.
Also, meant to saw this last year but this page started displaying differently about October for me and looks nowhere near as nice as it used to. Just my computer? Also whilst i very much appreciate the site i have always had that horrible fatal warning screen pop up often with Zippy. Sometimes for have to close all your windows via Task manager. Again just me?

  2. I paid money for the 7″ of this all those years ago…but in my defence i was only 12. I remember him walking around in character and on tv for about 3 months when this came out. My birds page 3 and my cars a nutter…I’ve long left the UK but I still use that phrase, of course nobody knows what I’m talking about! Great to hear it again though, thanks!
