Rock Head now firmly on!
1988 saw Robert Plant release his 4th album “Now And Zen” with quite an electronic pop/rock sound. This was the lead single from it with dramatic production from Phil Johnstone and Tim Palmer, lead guitar from old pal Jimmy Page and with Kirsty MacColl on backing vocals.
“Heaven Sent” came from a demo cassette, written and performed by an eccentric British outfit called the Rest Is History and keyboardist Phil Johnstone from the band came and board and co-wrote 7 tracks for the album.
Album track “Walking Towards Paradise” reveals more synths and sequencers
“Big Log,” from his 1983 album “The Principle of Moments” is also here as a bonus track, a timeless classic.

I’ve got this on CD-3 [with adaptor] but my prized Robert Plant single was the hip hop remix of “Tall Cool One,” also on CD-3 and scandalously blasphemous to Zep Heads, no doubt! I did like the album as a whole, which surprised me as I was definitely not a Zep Head. I think Plant ingratiated himself to me via his impossibly cool MTV guest VJ picks [Creatures – “Right Now!” Enough said! But also DM’s “Everything Counts”] and “Big Log” didn’t hurt either but “In The Mood?”A classic!
Can you share this one again too? Thanks
