Dave A. Stewart Feat. Candy Dulfer – Lily Was Here (12″)

Main man behind the Eurthymics, Dave Stewart, had a bit of solo success with this instrumental track from 1989 (just!). Championing the previously unheard of Candy Dulfer (her 1990 track “Saxuality” will be making an appearance at the end of the week as we go into the 90’s !)

Technology was always in Stewart’s psyche but it’s this dueling guitar and sax track that most will remember and here he teams up with The Orb to give it that Trippy vibe. Summer Chill Out (especially the Space Lab Mix)

The B-side is more of the same, saxophone noodle over a different backing.

  1. at your convenience, i do actually have a 128kbs, crackling mp3, that surely dates back to pre-millenium napster, i am just hoping to finally hear a clean sound one day soon-ish

  2. Thank you very much, it’s most-def not the same rip, this has a 12.9 dynamic range, what i had was barely 6, plus at 128kbs it was like listening to a wax cylinder. Inside a tin can.
It is rather crackling as well tho.

  3. can you please re-upload it.. this is a rare rare gem, the only was release in europe, here in mexico never has released, i will thank you a lot!!
    thanx in advance
