Two Minds Crack ‎– The Hunger And The Greed (12″)

You can’t get much New Wave sounding than this. From 1984 and from Welsh band, Two Minds Crack which featured ex-Techno Twin, Dave Hewson and singer/guitarist Kevin Jones and Pete Martin, guitarist/keyboards. They had a short recording career only releasing the one album, “The Victory Parade” in 1986 (they recorded this again for an album release and it sounds totally different). This was produced by Laurie Latham with plenty of girlie/ gospel layered backing vocals which were in vogue at the time. More synths are in the extended cut, with the chugging New Wave bass and acoustic guitar strum, quite China Crisis sounding. B-side “The Dream That Came Before” goes even more electronic, light and whimsical, OMD influenced with plenty of DX-7 chimes. Again, another sadly overlooked band
