Chakk ‎– Imagination (Who Needs A Better Life) (12″)

More stuff from the vault.

From 1986 and sax induced early beats, another early dance classic from Sheffield funk outfit. Mates with Cabaret Voltaire and comprising of Alan Cross, Diarmuid Boyle (later in The Longpigs), Jake Harries (frontman and vocalist), John Stuart, Mark Brydon (to become a popular producer and one half of Moloko) and Sim Lister (FON studio founder)

Frantic stuff with some early samples, like a funky Japan with all those saxophones. Did I say it has a good Dub Mix?

  1. Mark Brydon went on to form Moloko, not Morcheeba.

    1. Thanks and corrected! 🙂
