Space Monkey ‎– Can’t Stop Running (12″)

1983 was probably the most pioneering year for electronic music to go mainstream, the cheaper Emulator 1 was just about getting available.

This is your typical 83 sound with the theme of Nuclear Disarmament ! Released on Inner vision, it was a quite a large European Hit for Paul Goodchild, Pete Thomas and Adrian Lee (keyboard player for Toyah and later in Mike And The Mechanics) Typical 80’s synth “Power Pop” with the instrumental B -side called “Problem World” the same A side track! Crafty!

This was produced by Steve Brown (ABC,Wham!, Alison Moyet, Haysi Fantayzee to name but a few.) Lots of synth brass and electronic drums. Apparently the band could use George Michael’s entire ‘Wham’ band and brass section to replace the original Brighton band (they were originally a 5 piece) that the label had individually dropped. Bastards!

For all you millions of fans the rest of the Space Monkey stuff has been re-upped!
