Jona Lewie – Hallelujah Europa / You Will Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties (French 12″)

This see’s Lewie get his hands on some samplers and dance beats to cut and paste global sounds into a groove. It is a bit a hit and miss with choirs, bagpipes and tribal chants all thrown into the sampler on the African Mix. The Political Mix utilises the military stomp of “Stop The Cavalry” with the occasional Lewie vocal sounding like Hot Chip in a church watching a military tattoo! ( lots of synths though!!) Only released in France in 1993, inventive but…..thank God it’s got a great remix “You Will Always Find Me….” on the flip!
