Anything Box ‎– Living In Oblivion (US 12″)

Anything Box are an American synthpop trio of Claude Strillo, Paul Rjinders & Dania Morales.  This was an early 1990 release showing a heavy Erasure influence with the vocals sounding a bit like Marc Almond…intriguing. Gentle club mixes for this catchy tune, with David Morales getting involved in the percussion and remix duties (was his sister not member of the band?). The “Living Mix”, “St.James Club Mix” are the only ones that keep the vocals. For fans of basic synthpop, the sounds are very tinny to these old ears, could have been released in the mid to late 80’s the way it sounds.
