Pop Will Eat Itself ‎– Wise Up! Sucker (12″)

To anticipate the 90’s is this jaunty bit of Indie dance, perfectly blending metal with dance beats. Released in 1989 after a moderate success of their debut album, “Box Frenzy”, this was second single from their next album, “This Is The Day… This Is The Hour…This is This”. This followed the success of “Def.Con One” and was equally massive. The 12″ gets a mix from Youth and the sample-laden 7″ version is also here, originally mixed by Flood. PWEI were renowned for pushing the sonic boundaries on their B-sides so we get a naughty little instrumental, “Orgyone Stimulator” and a housed up mix of “Can U Dig It?” not as heavy as the title implies.
