Robert Palmer – Sweet Lies (Promo 12″)

So trying to build up a bit of a head of steam…..(The Stats have dipped 😦 )

There is a bit of a tale with this twelve. Mike, being his tenacious self, managed to secure a copy after at least 3 failed attempts from discogs!!! (and it was a requested from a follower) Released in 1987 and a UK Promo the mixes are from Freddy Bastone. It was from the film of the same name. Funk with a capital “F” and Soul with a capital “S”, Freddy Bastone’s liking for overdubbed percussion doesn’t distract from this quality tune. Β A bonus is having Palmer’s classic “Every Kinda People” on the flip. Wonderful, classy stuff !!!
