I’ve always admired Shelf’s “Methods Of Dance” blog, more dance based than this old, eclectic beast and always managing to throw up some great surprises. He posted this yesterday on his blog so great minds think alike! I still love how Mike has ripped this from VINYL , if it says myvinyldreams on the tin it will be from vinyl. Word!
Bryan Ferry always surrounded himself with the best musicians and producers, this was right on the cutting edge for 1988. Employing Emilio Pasquez and Pascal Gabriel on the Latin Mix, it sounds very much like Propaganda at their height. The “Brooklyn Mix” is much more atmospheric, mixed by Alan Meyerson, this time sounding like Yello!
A bonus is the Parisian chic of the instrumental of “Bete Noire”; the cool bastard!
