Morcheeba – Trigger Hippie (US Promo 12″)

Debut release from Morcheeba way back in 1995 with this bit of Eastern style Trip-Hop. Formed by the Godfrey Brothers (Paul And Ross) and co-produced with long time partner in crime, Pete Norris. The lush vocals of Skye Edwards mixes in with Sitar, tablas and plenty of slide guitar. The lead mix is a quicker, more club heavy dub mix. The “Killer Hippie” versions are quite instrumental with the slower “Bad Vibrations” mix having a bass to tickle your ribcage. The mix to go for is the “Glide Sitar Mix”, sounds like early Sneaker Pimps to me πŸ™‚Β CHILLAX!!! (N.B. The video version is a bit quicker)
