So we now step into the 90’s; a decade of dance, remixes of 80’s classics and the birth of bands that many thirty something revere as their bands. (It’ll be for a few weeks so look away now if you find this decade unbearable)
Underworld, an 80’s synth band that metamorphosized into a huge techno beast. I never really got them, if I ever hear “Born Slippy” again I will remove by toenails with a pen knife! It’s hardcore stuff, you really need to commit your ears to Underworld and Karl Hyde’s stream of conscious vocal delivery.
Moaner is a fine example of their dark, neurotic techno. Incessant bassline (it’s almost Industrial) and shrieking synths. It appeared on the soundtrack of the rather crap “Batman And Robin” film. It appeared as the last track on their album , “Beaucoup Fish”
The “Relentless Legs Mix” has more of a house groove, long and quite chilled in the middle.
