Bomb The Bass – Beat Dis (Remix) (12″)

From 1988 and a seminal track (along with “Pump Up The Volume” by M/A/R/R/s) that brought electronic dance music and sampling to the masses. This remix is ever so slightly different, being done by the mysterious Gangstar Boogie Inc. ( probably a pseudo name for the team of Tim Simeon, Pascal Gabriel, Mark Saunders and Paul Conboy) Absolutely love the last few minutes of the”dub mix”….that bass!!

  1. Working my way backwards. Up to page 47. Still in 2017. Find a remix of one of the greatest songs of all time (OF ALL TIME! as Kanye would say) and have to wonder to myself … “if this guy lives in the UK, how to I put forward his name to the Queen for a knighthood?” – or if he’s religious, should I send the Pope a note regarding sainthood?

What does your record collection look like? You’ve got to post a photo of the shipping container you use 🙂

  2. Please re-up!!

  3. Thanks for re-upping this. Bomb The Bass made two great tracks about ten years apart and nothing much (to my knowledge) in between nor since.
