Marc Almond ‎– The House Is Haunted By The Echo Of Your Last Goodbye (12″)

From 1985 and an almost mini album from Marc Almond. A few covers and lots of different styles. The main track has synth, like an old soft cell track, very quirky. “Broken Bracelets” is quite a rocky number, rock guitar mixes with chamber orchestra, complete madness. A cover of a Spanish song,”Cara A Cara”,  is full-on Gypsy Kings, without the shit vocals but with electronic drums (?) Almond sings it in Spanish. The medley is classic Almond, melodramatic with his old songs thrown in amongst the covers.

It closes with very over-the-top rendition of Anne Hogan’s “Burning Boats”. He must of been buggered (literally) after that, what a performance!! RARE STUFF!!
