The Nails ‎– Let It All Hang Out / 88 Lines About 44 Women (US Promo 12″)

Another very rare and expensive slab of vinyl from Mike. This limited release contained a couple of special remixes of by Richard James Burgess and was released in 1984. The track “88 Lines…” was a massive American new wave hit and the lyrics are ace (hence the included vid) and it was exactly that, a rhyming couplet about 44 women. With spacey percussion and synth horns, once listened to never forgotten. More in tongue in cheek stuff with “Let It All Hang Out” huge drums, horns, funky organ abound on this cover from 1967 #12 hit by The Hombres “Let It Out (Let It All Hang Out)”

  1. 88 lines is great. I got a copy for a wedding present, 21 years ago. Much treasured.

  2. Thanks for this rare version! I have several 12 inches and the single for this Nails classic, but was missing this!
