Les Rita Mitsouko & Sparks – Singing In The Shower (US 12″)

A love a good, quirky collaboration. Arch pranksters, Sparks, teamed up the rather odd Catherine Ringer from a track off the Ridley Scott film “Black Rain”. Tony Visconti adds his production skills and Jesse Johnson and William Orbit provide the beats. It reminds me of an old Depeche Mode track “Told You So” with a similar synth riff and then starts sounding like a Madonna track. Shame all the mixes are quite similar.

  1. Odd, well yeah an ex porn star. Les Rita, as they are affectionately known were a group or duo until Fred passed away to cancer. Their early albums were produced by Visconti. Defiantly check out Hey Andy a tribute to Warhol. Great band mixed art and pop to good effect in a similar way to that of the other Visconti produced artist who also sung about Warhol and was also taken by cancer.

    1. Thanks for info and F**K Cancer !

  2. Excellent hope you can upload one day versions of Andy congratulations page
