Telex – Peanuts (US 12″)

A new one to me and what sounds to be Art Of Noise covering Hot Butter’s “Pop Corn.” Telex had the famous synth hit “Moskow Diskow” and comprised of the Belgium trio of , Marc Moulin, Michel Moers and Dan Lacksman. (who was later behind the Nu Age synth band Deep Forest)

Released in 1987 and sounding a bit Yello-esque this was well ahead of its time. Cut up vocal samples and a heavy beat. B-side “Basta” is almost industrial with the beats and is an old track from 1981.
