Gary Numan – Sister Surprise (12″)

Seems the Gary Numan post went down well, so here’s some more. Off the “Warriors” album and before parting ways with Beggars Banquet. This saw him collaborate with Bill Nelson. Lots of printing mistakes on the sleeve and labels, it’s not “Extended” but more of an edit from the album version. A metal funk hybrid with a ton of sax and Joe Hubbard’s bass. Β The B-side track ,”Letters”, is actually ‘Face To Face’ which previously appeared as a B-side on the 12″ of ‘Love Needs No Disguise’ name checking “I.. Assassin” The highlight for me is the track “Poetry & Power” almost a duet with Bill Nelson, lots of his influences cross over into this track
