Doppelganger ‎– Communication Breakdown (US 12″)

From 1985 and sounding quite “Fresh” for the time is this slice of proto house with vocoder overload. Erik Sanko on fretless bass, Randy Fredrix on guitar and the other half on Philippe Saisse on the synths and samples. In terms of production all the major names are on here, Richard Burgess and John “Tokes” Potoker (You could probably get quite compilation of his stuff if you just type his name into the search bar on this blog!) The dub version , “Come, Come, Come” showcases all the latest sounds and studio techniques from 1985.
