From 1987 and some Catholic electropop with chamber orchestra synths from New Zealand’s Shona Laing. Quite topical at the moment……presidential assassination. It was actually released in 1985, and re-released in 1987.
Martin Rushent provides a few remixes over a vocal that is somewhere between Suzanne Vega and The Cranberries. Big synth bass and bright synth leads, also included are some sound bites from JFK.
B-side “Resurrection” is more sparkling synthpop with some ear grating drum machine, bass guitar and reggae guitar licks. Joan As A Policewoman, Little Boots and Roisin Murphy should have a listen.
