Camouflage – Love Is A Shield (US 12″)

From 1989 and the first single from their second album, “Methods Of Silence”, continue their Depeche Mode fixation. Better produced (with Alexander Henninger) and with nice lead cello by Simone Winter, it’s a great synth anthem written with Peter Godwin (from Metro) William Orbit pops up with an uptempo mix adding some additional backing vocals by Sharon Musgrave,it really giving the song a bit of umph! (mix of the month!)

B-side, “The Story Of The Falling Fighters” could be off Mode’s “A Broken Frame”, moody synths.
