The Colourfield – Running Way (US Promo 12″)

More light then dark.

This weird and quirky hit from 1987 originally written by Sly Stone and performed by Sly and Family Stone, from their álbum “There’s a riot going on” (1971). It is given that late 80’s electro funk treatment, in other words lots of horns. Off their last album “Deception”, it comes with a couple of Arthur Baker mixes, grooving it up with Terry Hall’s voice remaining distinctly deadpan, as always. Roland Orzabal (Tears For Fears) provide guitars
