KMFDM ‎– Brute (US 12″)

When I research stuff by KMFDM I always come across a load of hate for the band, I suppose they sound like a full-on heavy metal band but don’t actually have guitars, it’s all fake. They do split opinion but I like their sense of humour and use of sample technology “Brute-a-lize-me”….indeed.

So the “Punch” mix by Son Of A Gun (a pseudo name for the band) has Hawaiian style slide guitar! “In Your Face” mix blends the heavy riffing and raucous vocals with metronomic euro-dance beats. The “KUN$T” has a loud, techno synth lead. There is always a bonus which is this mix of “Revolution”, what a mixture of sounds and influences and much better than the main track.

  1. Always found them a one note joke. Never a fan of that industrial noise
