Malcolm McLaren Presents World Famous Supreme Team Show ‎– Romeo And Juliet (US Promo 12″)

Not had much from Mr. McLaren lately. (and there is a lot on this blog!) From 1991 and obviously after hearing about the world wide success of “Sadness Part 1” by Enigma, making Gregorian Chants over Hip-Hop beats popular. Here he has enlisted the talents of the highly educated, Alexx Anteus, who mixed and co-produced. A cheeky rap by the “World Famous Supreme Team”, plenty of samples from various films of “Romeo And Juliet” (I’m sure I heard Vincent Price) are spread over the pretty similar mixes. It does use snatches of the Pointer Sisters’ “Fire.”

Altogether now…..”Romeo Romeo Wherefore Art Thou”
