The Grid ‎– A Beat Called Love (12″)

Ex- Soft Cell music maestro , Dave Ball, teamed up with Richard Norris (now part of one of my current fave bands, Beyond The Wizards Sleeve, with Errol Alkan.) to form The Grid. The main mix contains a catchy and funky Heller and Farley mix with extended trumpet solo that enhances Sacha Souter , sultry vocal performance.

This was the follow up “Flotation” and does feature a marvelous chill-out mix of that track by Olimax & DJ Shapps which samples prog rock, Deep Forest and Aled Jones!!!!

  1. Deep Forest was later, wasn’t it? I think they just sampled the same source.

  2. I know it was weird to hear that warbley thing!

  3. Floatation really was a wonderful record. Especially in the Weatherall mix versions

    1. I’ll get the 12″ up over the weekend, looking forward to hearing it again.

  4. Hmmm, down already…. 😦

    1. This seems to be a common problem of dead links after only a week, re-upped now thanks for the heads up 🙂

  5. Thank YOU! 🙂
