For only ever releasing just 2 albums (both released in the mid to late 80’s), FYC (or their record company London Records) didn’t half milk it. I blame the dance music link between from members David Steele and Andy Cox and the fact it was to promote the album,”The Rare & The Remixed”
“Drive Me Crazy” originally released in 1988 gets a remix from Roger Sanchez in 1996. Funky house over an altered bass line on both mixes. The “Time & Space” is more hands-in-the-air, the “Phunk Phenomena Mix” builds nicely adding synth horns and jazz stabs.
“Johnny Come Home” get a deep house mixes by Mousse T , retaining the iconic saxophone riff and adding some compressed organ stabs. The vocal do seem to work over the new backing, bit of a sad song when you think of it.
