David McComb And Adam Peters ‎– I Don’t Need You (12″)

A rare little oddity next which see’s the late David McComb, lead singer from Aussie band The Triffids, team up with Adam Peters (The Flowerpot Men and later Sunsonic) This results with some scewed electronica, some of it predating Trip Hop as it was recorded in 1988. Yes insanely inventive, extrovert and vaudevillian. Engineered with Ed Buller (Psychedelic Furs) Another Furs connection comes with John Ashton providing guitar on main track. Another cult musician , John Valentine Carruthers (Siouxsie And The Banshees), adds guitar on the stand out track, “Liberty And A Thousand Faces” which has vocals by the exotically named , Ann Charlotte Vensgaarde. Inventive use of technology for the time.
