Sparks – Fingertips (US 12″)

I think people forget that Sparks had a bit of a lean period in the mid-80’s. This was off the album, “Music You Can Dance To” and is a cover of the Motown classic by Stevie Wonder from 1963. Disco-ed up and sounding very like Howard Jones having taken a Helium balloon, not a fan of this I’m afraid. “The Scene” sees them remix the track from the album giving it more bass-driven edge alongside all the multi-tracking. It even has some rave sounds in there!
