Crown Of Thorns – Pictures (12″)

Synthpop from 1983 with a very young William Orbit adding some electronic percussion to the 12″ mix.

Another obscure/new band to me consisting of Malcom Mehyr, (vocals, guitars) Ty Holden, (bass and now a Dance DJ/Producer) Phil Snow, (drums) Keith Finch (synths) and Steve Soar (vocals and trumpet?) They released a handful of singles but no album.

The track is a bit disco synth pop with the extra effects making the 12″ version stand out. The B-side is a dark semi-instrumental, with shades of Gary Numan.
