Robert Palmer – Pride (US Promo 12″)

Seems this is turning into a bit of a Francois Kevorkian series of posts with yet another remix job for late great Robert Palmer. “Pride” is the title track off his 1983 album, his 7th. Giving it a Caribbean flavour (well he was on Island Records and it was recorded in the Bahamas) the main mix is synthpop reggae with plenty of steel drums. The Dub has a bloody huge bass for 1983 and loads of electro percussion, maybe a bit too much it does sound a bit chaotic. Less is more Francois !

B1 Pride (Edit) 3:26
B2 Pride (Dub) 4:22

Very glad to come across this one. Do you have the Instrumental version that was on the 7″?
