Specimen – Sharp Teeth (12″)

Legendary Glam/Goth band Specimen originated  from Bristol. A quality three track 12″ from 1985.They then comprised of Olli Wisdom (vocals) , Jon Klein (guitar), Jonny Slut and er! Don’t know…… Synonmous with The Batcave, a Goth club in London. They were highly stylised but , criminally,  did not gain much commercial success

There is a definite love of Glam Rock here, co-produced with Martin Rex these tracks have loads going on. The commercial “Sharp teeth” has mad lyrics,  differing time signatures, punky guitar and mouth trumpet at the start. (!) “Holes” jangles along with some great guitar. “Hex” is much more Gothic with some synth strings and a funky ass baseline. This is a longer version than the 7″
